Since 1993 the Sowerby Centre for Health Informatics at Newcastle (SCHIN) has been recognised within the NHS and Internationally as a leading centre for health informatics.
SCHIN provided the NHS Clinical Knowledge Summaries, the NHS Appraisal Toolkit and led many other significant and innovative health informatics projects which are at the heart of the NHS information services.
SCHIN became known as Clarity Informatics in 2011.
