What is PRODIGY?

Formerly the NHS Clinical Knowledge Summaries (CKS), the PRODIGY application provides guidance for healthcare professionals in over 1000 real life clinical situations through first contact and primary care.

High quality, evidence-based pathways guide users through:

  • Available treatment options, including prescribing.
  • When to refer for specialist assessment or management.

Who is PRODIGY designed for?

PRODIGY has been designed to assist GPs, GP registrars, nurses and pharmacists in primary care organisations. However, PRODIGY is also a useful resource for healthcare librarians as well as medical, nursing and pharmacy students. It can also be valuable for Walk-in centre and Accident and Emergency department staff and to some degree, patients themselves.
