Clarity Informatics is firmly rooted in the Sowerby Centre for Health Informatics at Newcastle (SCHIN) and SCHIN's eighteen years of research and development are behind our pioneering health informatics products and services.
Our vision is to develop software solutions that improve the patient experience and lift the burden on healthcare professionals, who have to keep on top of constantly evolving evidence, medical developments and guidelines. Working with the NHS we have developed, reviewed and updated a world-leading register of clinical and drugs knowledge, as well as building many other products to assist health workers.
The Clarity Informatics team consists of highly skilled staff from a number of different disciplines: medical clinicians, nurses, pharmacists and pharmacologists work alongside informaticians, researchers and software developers to produce high quality products. Using a combination of detailed scientific studies, pragmatic and careful observation of people in action and iterative prototyping in advanced software engineering, we create innovative concepts and products that relate to real people in real situations.
We deliver small and large scale services across multiple platforms, media and locations around the world. Our products can be introduced individually or can be tailored and integrated with local systems.
Drawing upon our expertise in developing some of the key NHS Connecting for Health infrastructures, we are able to deliver almost everything: from a simple patient information leaflet to fully integrated intelligent health networks across a nation. We continue to develop software solutions that assist healthcare professionals through their working life - for example, PRODIGY knowledge base, the new Appraisal Toolkit 2011 and Quality Improvement Service.
