Who are we?
Clarity Informatics grew out of an academic department of the University of Newcastle. It has been in the commercial world since 2009 and is renowned for:

Mike has a 30 year career history as a Professional Civil Servant which culminated in being appointed the Head of Primary Care IT for the Department of Health. The innovations Mike was part of in Primary Health Care included Prodigy, Appraisal Toolkit, ETP, Standardised Drug Dictionary, Requirements For Accreditation and Nurse Prescribing.
Tim Sewart’s background is in the legal profession. As a healthcare and technology lawyer, Tim Sewart began his career in 2001 and became a partner of the international law firm, DAC Beachcroft LLP, in 2009, where he continues to work. Tim has been CEO at Clarity since 2011.
Gerry Morrow has a background of 20 years as a GP when his interests were in cognitive behavioural therapy in patient involvement. He has a wide experience in clinical informatics, quality improvement and change management . He brings his in-depth clinical knowledge and health care insights to deliver our high quality services.
TECHNICAL & OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
James has over 16 years experience delivering technical projects for a variety of clients, including the NHS, Scottish Parliament and Channel 4. A major proponent of agile methods, involving the customer throughout, allows James and his team to deliver high quality and complex solutions that meet both requirements and timescales.

September 2014 marked the coming together of the RCGP and Clarity in a joint venture to create the best possible solution to support GPs through appraisals and revalidation. The partnership draws upon the most proficient experts from the medical and IT worlds, joining Clarity’s innovative technology together with RCGP knowledge and vision to create a bespoke solution that seamlessly guides GPs through the system. Appraisal Toolkit for GPs is the number one primary care tool for appraisals and revalidation.
Clarity Informatics has signed an exclusive partnership with MIMS learning, the online education resource supporting best practice in Primary Care. Offering over 400 learning activities on a wide variety of clinical topics, along with pre-prepared learning plans and an integrated CPD organiser. Clarity’s 40,000 GP subscribers can now export evidence of their learning directly from their MIMS Learning CPD Organiser into their appraisal toolkit.
